Record Search reads the DRM3 fact record, not the open web. An answer is written from facts the lakehouse holds, each one traceable to a signed fetch, and the answer itself is signed so it can be verified later.
Check a claim and the search returns what the record holds for and against it. A Snopes rating can sit beside the record's own finding, so the reader sees both.
The free tier is per IP; a signed-in account gets its own allowance and a key for the API.
