TruthFoundry 1.11: check a claim, read the verdict in seconds

TruthFoundry answers claims from a signed fact record and writes a daily paper on it. Version 1.11 is about the answer itself: what it says, how fast it arrives, and what happens when the numbers do not match.

A verdict in writing, with citations

Check a claim and within a few seconds you get a written verdict: supported, contradicted, or contested, stated plainly, with citations from the record under it. The evidence no longer stands in for the answer; the answer is written out, and every line of support sits below it where you can follow it back.

Numbers get particular care. When a claim's figures differ from the record's, the answer does not settle for vague disagreement: it says so and states both numbers, the one you asked about and the one the record holds, so you can see exactly where the claim and the record part ways.

And every check becomes part of the record. The question, the verdict, and the citations are kept, so an answer is something you can return to, not a reply that evaporates.

The front page is just there

Open the news front page and the paper is on the screen: readable in well under a second, no loading placeholders, no layout jumps. Nothing shifts under your eyes while the page settles. The content is simply there.

A shared question shows the question

Check a claim, share the link, and the preview that unfurls now carries the question itself. The person on the other end sees what was asked before they open it, instead of a generic banner.

Federal awards, with the numbers named

Federal awards coverage now names its dollar figures precisely. Obligations to date and new obligations are different numbers, and the coverage says which one it is stating instead of letting one wear the other's label. It also leads with fewer, better-corroborated items, so what tops the page has earned its place.
