Newsroom Floor speaks Spanish

Your paper, your desk and your console in Spanish, end to end. Built first for Spanish speakers in the United States.

Newsroom Floor now runs in Spanish from the front door to the paper it writes: the account, the console, the help, the emails and the paper your readers open. It is built for Spanish speakers in the United States first, with Mexico next. A publisher who works in Spanish can run a daily paper on Newsroom Floor without reading a word of English.

Who it is for

A local outlet, an organization or a brand that writes for people who read in Spanish. A desk that runs in Spanish and wants every screen, every email and every story in its own language. And a publisher who wants an English edition too, without doing anything more.

Start at newsroomfloor.com/es. It is the same front door, in your language.

What changes

The account is created in Spanish and the verification email arrives in Spanish. The console, the help and support are in Spanish. You write your desk's rules, each writer's voice and the picture instructions in Spanish, and the desk understands them.

Your paper comes out in Spanish for your readers, with its sources and its receipts in view. The English edition is one click away. The language switch is a promise: it offers Spanish only where the story already exists in Spanish, never a mix.

The console follows your language on its own. If your browser is in Spanish, you see it in Spanish. If you would rather decide, open Language in the footer of any page and choose.

Your language, your call

On the Language page you choose the language of the console, the help and the emails we send you. Your choice is saved to your account and follows you to any device.

The same page says plainly what happens underneath. The fact record and the line that writes the stories work in English. What you write in Spanish is kept exactly as you wrote it and reaches the line as an English version, made once. Your paper comes out in Spanish for your readers; the English is one click away.

The terms, the privacy policy and the agreements stay in English, and those are the ones that count legally. Your browser can translate them as a courtesy.

What comes next

Today the Spanish is neutral, written for the United States. Next come Mexico and Colombia with their own words: professional, but with the turns of phrase of each place, so it speaks to each reader the way people speak at home.

Start

Open newsroomfloor.com/es. Create your account. Paste your site's address and see the masthead it proposes. All in Spanish, and nothing is published until you say so.
