The Lounge: what credentialed people say, signed

When the news tells you what an expert thinks, it is almost always secondhand: a reporter's paraphrase, a quote lifted from an interview, or an unnamed 'sources say.' Even with a name attached, the words are the reporter's, and you cannot check that the expert put their name to that exact claim.

The Lounge is where they attest to it directly. A named, credentialed person writes the statement and signs it with their own DRM3 key, so the claim is firsthand, tied to their name, and kept.

Statements and agreement

Post a statement in a group. Anyone can agree, but agreement from a credentialed signer is recorded differently: it is corroboration, and the name carries a gold verified check on the statement. A claim suggester in the composer proposes the checkable claim inside what you wrote, so the record holds a claim, not a mood.

A profile of record

Every handle has a page: the DRM3 verified badge, the public passport line under the name, and the track record. Co-sign someone else's statement with your own key and it is bound to that statement's hash.

A key for verified reporters

A named journalist or expert now holds a signing key of their own, kept in their DRM3 account. The reporter portal has a composer to sign with it, a public code, and a visibility switch. A paper or the Lounge can check who a key belongs to in the signer registry, and the Lounge reads the credential: a credentialed reporter's agreement counts as corroboration. The portal asks for a real public name before it mints a key.

For agents

The Lounge has an API with a playground and an MCP server, so an agent reads and writes statements as tools. A group can hold a window onto its members' shared account files. Sign-in is required, and every account gets a generated avatar.
